Jags Ranked 10th In NCAA Region Rankings

Augusta 16-13 overall, ranks 10th in second regional rankings from the NCAA

AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Augusta University women's volleyball team is ranked 10th in the season's second NCAA Division II regional rankings, which were released Wednesday, Nov. 11.

Augusta University is 16-13 overall and are one of six institutions from the Peach Belt Conference in the top 10. USC Aiken (PBC) ranks first in the southeast region, Wingate is second, Carson-Newman third, Flagler fourth (PBC), Lander fifth (PBC), Armstrong sixth (PBC), Montevallo seventh (PBC), Erskine eighth, Limestone ninth, and Augusta sits in the final 10th spot.

The region rankings will determine the Southeast Region bracket in the NCAA Division II Tournament at the end of the season. The conference tournament champions in the Peach Belt Conference, South Atlantic Conference and Conference Carolinas will receive an automatic bid to the NCAA Division II Tournament, along with the five highest remaining teams in the Southeast Region rankings.

The Jaguars are on a two-match win streak and host Georgia College for their final regular-season home match on Wednesday, Nov. 11. The team travels to Claflin University in Orangeburg, S.C., on Saturday, Nov. 14 to face Bluefield State at 10:00 a.m. and Claflin at 12:00 p.m.
