Augusta Sweeps Georgia College On The Road

Jaguars move to 13-6, 5-4 in the Peach Belt Conference

MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The Augusta University women's volleyball team won a 3-4 Peach Belt Conference match on the road Saturday afternoon in Milledgeville Ga. in the Centennial Center.

Augusta (13-6, 5-4 PBC) came out strong in set one and on 25-13 to take the initial lead. The Jaguars came back with a 25-21 win in set two and a 25-16 finale win the take the day. Junior Jordan Bickett's 11 kills helped the Augusta offense as did Blair Bolton and Rachel Windle's nine kills each. 

Senior setter Alyssa Latham had 33 assists and six digs in the win and Bickett and Kali Boatwright provided three service aces each.

Georgia College outblocked the Jags 9-8, but were held to a .103 attack percentage. Miller Howard, Caroline Long, and Ebony Powers had six kills each to pace the Bobcats, while Kayla Brockway added 32 assists.

The Jaguars play at Montevallo for a PBC match on Tuesday, Oct. 20 in Montevallo, Ala., at 7:00 p.m.
