AUGUSTA, Ga. – Come support 2014 Volleyball Senior Day this Wednesday, Nov. 5 at 7:00 p.m. in Christenberry Fieldhouse as GRU Augusta Athletics recognizes seniors Maggie Darling and Kristen Koch prior to the Peach Belt Conference match with Georgia College where the Jags will go for their 24th win, a program record.

The Jaguars already reached their best record in program history at 23-7 with the 3-1 win over Francis Marion on Nov. 1 and they will pursue their most wins ever on Wednesday night against the GC Bobcats when they go for 24. GRU enters the match third in the league, while the Bobcats are 10th.
2014 VOLLEYBALL SENIORS
Maggie Darling, a three-year starter after transferring from Syracuse for the 2012 season, has played a vital role in numerous positions for the Jags. She totaled 32 kills, 60 digs and six service aces after her first year in a Jaguar uniform and her junior year, she led the team with 427 digs and 24 services aces, while adding 62 kills. This season Darling led the league in service aces for the majority of the season and currently sits third. She is first on the team in aces and is third in kills, blocks, and digs.
Kristen Koch, a four-year starter from Niceville, Fla., has been leading the Jaguar offense since her freshman year in 2011 when she tied the team high in service aces and ranked third for kills. As a sophomore, she was second on the squad in points and kills and last year in 2013 – she was named first-team All-Conference after she led the entire Peach Belt with 406 kills. Entering Wednesday night's match, the senior has compiled 1,351 total kills and is currently ranked fifth in kills in the PBC.
